Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Legal Liability
- Excavation Supervisor
- HIRA
- First Aid Level 1
- IRCON Construction Regulations
- Firefighting
- Working at Heights (US229998)
- Working at Heights Fall Arrest and Rescue (US229995)
- Valid driver’s license
- N6 qualification with a valid vocational trade test
- Operating Regulations of High Voltage Systems (ORHVS)
- At least three years’ experience as a construction supervisor in electrical infrastructure (Main Transmission Substations and/or Distribution Substations) construction environment.
Additional Qualifications:
- Eskom Authorization with Distribution and Transmission
Responsibilities:
- Project document control.
- Development and implementation of work method statements.
- Maintaining site diaries and site instruction books.
- Ensure timely distribution and display of all documentation.
- Ensure that policies, procedures and schedules are available and communicated.
- Ensure timely submission of approved times sheets and permission to work overtime.

- Assist in identifying the route access or deviations.
- Monitoring quality assurance and quality control.

- Supervision of subordinates.
- Responsible for work allocation and execution.

- Ensuring legal site compliance.
- Training and mentoring.
- Effective application of project resources.
- Ongoing effort to improve supervision and better team performance.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety relevant legislation.

- Participate in the health and safety systems and the improvement thereof.
- Report any situation that is unsafe or unhealthy.
