Vacancy: Legal Advisor (Construction & Renewable Energy)

Requirements:
· LLB Degree
· Well versed in construction contracts including NEC (New Engineering Contract), FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers)
· Exposure to bespoke construction contracts
· Proven experience in construction law
· Experience within the renewable energy sector
Key Responsibilities:
· Review, analyse and administer contracts from pre-contract stage through to final close-out
· Ensure compliance with contractual terms, conditions, rights and obligations
· Monitor performance to confirm contractual deliverables are met
· Coordinate and manage contractual amendments during the contract lifecycle
· Oversee contract close-out once all obligations have been fulfilled
Legal & Commercial Responsibilities:
· Provide legal advice within the business in line with group legal policies
· Negotiate commercial and legal agreements with clients and suppliers
· Draft, review and negotiate agreements
· Review customer and supplier agreements and identify associated risks
· Identify and minimise commercial risks in new and existing agreements
Compliance & Governance:
· Act as POPIA Deputy Information Officer
· Ensure compliance with internal and group legal and commercial policies
· Coordinate negotiations, meetings and teleconferences with stakeholders
· Maintain accurate record keeping from request stage to final signed agreement
· Ensure proper maintenance of contractual records and documentation
· Ensure turnaround times are met and client satisfaction is maintained
