We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Plumber to join their team in Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with strong technical expertise and supervisory experience within facilities management or industrial environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing infrastructure is installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with statutory requirements, SANS standards, water regulations, and contractual obligations.
Minimum Requirements:
• Trade-Tested Plumber (Red Seal)
• Valid PIRB Registration (Licensed Plumber minimum; higher levels advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience
• Experience in commercial or industrial environments
• Proven experience supervising teams and subcontractors
• Valid driver’s licence
• CMMS experience advantageous
• Strong knowledge of SANS 10252, 10254, and water regulations
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute planned, preventative, corrective, and emergency plumbing maintenance
• Diagnose and repair plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, geysers, pumps, and valves
• Ensure compliance with OHSA, SANS standards, and municipal bylaws
• Complete job cards, CMMS updates, and maintenance documentation accurately
• Conduct site inspections and compile technical reports with recommendations
• Supervise plumbing teams, assistants, and apprentices
• Manage and oversee subcontractors and ensure quality delivery
• Support water conservation and leakage reduction initiatives
• Monitor tools, equipment, and material stock levels
• Provide input into CAPEX and refurbishment projects
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Participate in standby duties and emergency callouts
