Overview:
We are looking for an ICT Support resource to take overall responsibility for ICT software, processes, hardware and equipment across the company, including the management and maintenance thereof.
Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Relevant ICT Diploma / Similar
• 5 years or more of corporate IT experience (essential)
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
• Monitor and proactively maintain computer systems and networks.
• Replace parts as required.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.
• Respond to service desk requests and resolve user issues within SLA times.
• Rapidly establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and 3rd-party professionals, such as software developers.
• Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
• Obtain quotations for any ICT-related equipment repairs and/or replacements.
• Follow instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
• Support the roll-out of new applications or updates.
• Test and evaluate new technology.
• Maintain documentation and hardware/software registers.
Skills & Personal Attributes Required:
• Self-starter and ability to priorities and work under minimal / no supervision.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, ability to work under pressure effectively in a team environment and with an emphasis on exceptional customer service.
• Proven experience providing client level technician support in a demanding workplace.
• Proven expertise supporting windows operating systems.
• Proven expertise troubleshooting and managing, supporting devices on both LAN and WLAN networks.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software.
• Code B Driving License and ability to travel and sleep out.
