Our client, a leading South African infrastructure contractor specializing in HV transmission and substation projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Minimum Requirements:
* Diploma / BTech / Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related
* SACPCMP (Pr.PM / Pr.CPM) advantageous
* PMP or equivalent advantageous
* 10–15 years’ infrastructure / construction project delivery experience
* Full lifecycle project delivery (award to close-out)
* Strong commercial, contractual & financial management experience
* HV transmission / substation / Eskom / NTCSA / IPP experience required
* NEC / FIDIC / JBCC contract knowledge
Advantageous:
* Formal contract management training (NEC / FIDIC / JBCC)
* EPC/EPCM infrastructure experience
* Project controls systems (MS Project / Primavera / Candy / BuildSmart)
* Large-scale transmission/substation project exposure
Key Responsibilities:
* Full project lifecycle accountability (time, cost, quality, SHEQ)
* Develop execution strategy, governance & baselines
* Manage budgets, forecasting, cash flow & cost-to-complete
* Own contracts, claims, variations, EOTs & entitlement
* Lead engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning integration
* Oversee site delivery via Construction Managers
* Manage procurement strategy & supplier performance
* Client & stakeholder management at senior level
* Drive risk, recovery & performance optimization
* Ensure SHEQ compliance, commissioning & handover
Knowledge Required:
* HV transmission & substation infrastructure
* EPC/EPCM delivery
* Contract administration (NEC / FIDIC / JBCC)
* Project controls systems
